• HIP OR KNEE REPLACEMENT

If your hip or knee is severely damaged by arthritis, a fracture, injury or other conditions, common activities such as walking or getting in and out of a chair may be painful and difficult. You may even feel uncomfortable while resting. In a total hip/knee replacement (also called total hip/knee arthroplasty), the damaged bone and cartilage is removed and replaced with prosthetic components. The aims of the procedure are pain relief and improvement in hip/knee function.

Estimated price: U$ 9,500- U$ 10,000

Includes:

  • Medical team fees (Surgeon, Assistant and Anesthesiologist)

  • Physical and cardiological Valorations (if applicable)

  • Mandatory pre operatory tests or studies

  • Inpatient surgery (2 nights stay in a private room)

• SHOULDER ROTATOR CUFF

Your rotator cuff is a group of muscles and their tendons that act to stabilize the shoulder. These muscles and tendons connect your upper arm bone with your shoulder blade. A rotator cuff injury includes any type of irritation or damage to your rotator cuff muscles or tendons. This surgery consists of removing damaged tissue and repairing the good tissue back to the bone. Bone spurs and inflammation (bursitis) is also removed to try to prevent re-tears.

Estimated price: U$ 4,900 – U$ 5,300

Includes:

  • Medical team fees (Surgeon, Assistant and Anesthesiologist)

  • Physical and cardiological Valorations (if applicable)

  • Mandatory pre operatory tests or studies

  • Inpatient surgery (2 nights stay in a private room)

• BUNIONECTOMY

A bunionectomy is a surgical procedure to excise or remove a bunion. A bunion is an enlargement of the joint at the base of the big toe and is comprised of bone and soft tissue. It is usually a result of inflammation and irritation from poorly fitting (narrow and tight) shoes in conjunction with an overly mobile first metatarsal joint and over-pronation of the foot. Over time, a painful lump appears at the side of the joint, while the big toe appears to buckle and move sideway towards the second toe. The development of a bunion may involve soft tissue as well as a hard bone spur. The intense pain makes walking and other activities extremely difficult.

Estimated price: U$ 3,900 – U$ 4,300

Includes:

  • Medical team fees (Surgeon, Assistant and Anesthesiologist)

  • Physical and cardiological Valorations (if applicable)

  • Mandatory pre operatory tests or studies

  • Inpatient surgery (2 nights stay in a private room)

• SHOULDER OR KNEE ARTHROSCOPY

Knee and shoulder arthroscopy are by far the most common arthroscopic procedures performed. Arthroscopic surgery is a procedure that involves inserting a small camera inside the joint. Through other small incisions, instruments can be inserted to repair or remove damaged structures.

Estimated price: U$ 2,900 – U$ 3,300

Includes:

  • Medical team fees (Surgeon, Assistant and Anesthesiologist)

  • Physical and cardiological Valorations (if applicable)

  • Mandatory pre operatory tests or studies

  • Inpatient surgery (2 nights stay in a private room)

• CARPAL TUNNEL RELEASE

Release of the transverse carpal ligament is known as "carpal tunnel release" surgery. It is recommended when there is static (constant, not just intermittent) numbness, muscle weakness, or atrophy, and when night-splinting no longer controls intermittent symptoms. In this surgery, the goal is to divide the transverse carpal ligament in two. This is a wide ligament that runs across the hand, from the scaphoid bone to the hamate bone and pisiform. It forms the roof of the carpal tunnel, and when the surgeon cuts across it (i.e., in a line with the ring finger) it no longer presses down on the nerve inside, relieving the pressure.

Estimated price: U$ 2,200 – U$ 2,500

Includes:

  • Medical team fees (Surgeon, Assistant and Anesthesiologist)

  • Physical and cardiological Valorations (if applicable)

  • Mandatory pre operatory tests or studies
